She's No Victim

New York City - Seemingly unable to escape controversy, yet another cast member of the comedy FOX’s "Ally McBeal" made headlines, as it was reported by New York City police officials that Jane Krakowski, who plays "Elaine" on the show, was assaulted in an ally adjacent to one of New York’s well known shopping districts. Witness Joel Trent outlined the events that took place from his vantage point, "Well, I saw her walking on the sidewalk about 30 yards ahead of me, and I was thinking about trying to get her autograph, when Bam! She just disappeared. I walked a few more feet and then I heard screaming, really loud screaming, coming from the ally ahead of me" , "Well, I ran as fast as I could, and when I turned down the ally, I saw this guy laying on his back with his pants around his ankles, screaming at me to get the police" , "That’s when I noticed Elaine or Jane or whatever her name is, sitting on top of him trying to get his shirt off" Trent went on to say that police arrived soon after and managed to separate the pair. Officer Dan Green, described the aftermath to reporters, "This guy was a mess! I mean, he was naked from the waste down and was screaming at us hysterically to take him in", "I guess she really shook him up" The "would be" rapist made a brief statement before being taken away, "Man, I don’t know what that chick’s problem is, man! She’s crazy!, man, crazy!" Krakowski spoke with reporters soon after saying, "I don’t know what all the fuss is about. He said, do you want to get raped bitch? Give me a hundred dollars, now!!!", "I told him I though it was a fair price, and that’s when he started screaming!" Police elected not to charge Krakowski, citing the incident as a case of self-defense.
