30 Days, 31 Nights Honolulu Liz Torres, the actress who appeared as a guest star on the Monday night FOX comedy "Ally McBeal", was rescued Sunday by by a Coast Guard vessel some 30 miles of the coast of Hawaii. Torres, who portrayed "Hanna Goldstein", a bitter, portly woman suing her doctor for performing an experimental pig liver transplant without her consent, has filed suit in real life, against a weight management firm she signed on with, that reportedly convinced the actress to purchase a package they promoted as a "4 week diet cruise". According to authorities, the companys 60 foot yacht sailed west from a port in San Diego on December 17th of last year, and anchored approximately 50 miles off the coast, at which time proceeded to load Torres into a 4 foot rubber raft, stocked with 45 gallons of drinking water, and set her adrift, promising to return and retrieve her in 4 weeks. Attorneys for the company that left the woman at sea, admitted a clerical error resulted in her being forgotten, and in a statement today through their attorneys, offered their sincere apologies for any inconvenience they may have caused her. Torres was said to be dehydrated, but otherwise in good condition despite shedding 168 pounds in the course of the the ordeal. The suit originally set to come to trial next month, was delayed in order to allow Torres to purchase a new wardrobe. - Pete
